When we decided to offer a knife, we knew it had to be the highest quality. It had to be fully functional but also look badass. And we knew it had to be made in the USA. So we found bladesmith Shawn Moulenbelt. You might have heard of him. Shawn competed on the television show, Forged in Fire. When we first sat down together, we talked about his service in the U.S. Army. We talked about his passion for bladesmithing. We talked about our shared passion for helping Veterans. We knew we had found our guy.
We talked with Shawn about what type of knife we wanted. We said we wanted it to take a beating just as well as it gave one. We talked about materials, styles and sizes. And then he got to work. So when the prototype was ready, we shipped it up to the PNW where one of our more feral team members “punished the snot out of it.” We knew we had a winner.
