The Hero Company is taking flight this weekend in a special way.
We’re honored to share that The Hero Company brand will be featured on the side of the MiG-17 aircraft flown by Scoop “Patriot” Heavy at the 11th Annual TBM Reunion Salute to Veterans & Air Show in Peru, Illinois.
Scoop is a retired Navy fighter pilot, a current United Airlines 787 pilot, and an airshow performer who flies his MiG-17 at events across the country. He is also a proud supporter of The Hero Company jewelry and our mission to help pair veterans with service dogs.
Because of his heart for veterans and his belief in our mission, Scoop wanted to help carry the Hero message to airshows nationwide. We’re incredibly grateful for his support and honored to have The Hero Company represented on such an iconic aircraft.
Scoop will be flying the MiG-17 at the TBM Reunion Salute to Veterans & Air Show on May 15th and 16th. His MiG-17 demonstration flight is scheduled for today at 1:30 PM EST.
The Salute to Veterans Walk of Honor will take place tomorrow, May 16th, beginning at 12:00 PM. The Hero Company will also have a booth at the airshow, where Hero Paracord Never Surrender Bracelets will be distributed to veterans following the Walk of Honor parade.
This weekend is about more than aviation. It’s about honoring the brave men and women who served our country and continuing the mission of supporting veterans in meaningful ways.
